In 1862, Armand Roger and Charles Gallet, both partners and brothers-in-law, entrepreneurs and visionaries, decided to create Roger & Gallet in the heart of the City of Light, Paris.

Roger & Gallet has invented hundreds of cosmetic products: Soaps with various characteristics (superfine, extra-fine), dental and mouth care, facial care (almond paste for the complexion, beauty vinegars), make-up products for the face (and for the veins), hair treatments with hair lotions and the very first hair gel called "Tenax", treatments to protect the lips with "Rosat pomade" , the ancestor of lip balm, and many others...
